Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor. Her most well-known character is Skyler White on the AMC drama Breaking Bad, for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and in 2014 for Outstanding Supporting actress in the Drama Series. The actress also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and was awed by acting during her time at the Preparatory School. In the late 70's, she and her family moved to Ohio. She studied theatre through Northwestern University and spent a year in the British American Drama Academy. Anna started her acting career in Chicago-area theatres for a short time. Then she moved to television and film. In 1992, Anna was offered her first big role as Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. Following her appearance as a Guest on several TV shows and Films, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue during the 90's She was then chosen to play Jean Ward as part of The Practice. The mid-2000's saw her was given the role of Deadwood in the role of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler was Her Breaking Bad role from 2008. In 2022, Gunn appeared in a series of audio-play podcast titled Numbered Days. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's marriage to Skyler. Walter White's life tale and the tension in his relationship with Skyler is mirrored in the television show.
