Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman holds a distinguished chair in psychology at the University of California Davis and is the Director of its Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is widely recognized for initiating the modern study of eyewitnesses' memory, and children as witnesses. Professor Goodman's publications are extensive and she has been awarded numerous grants and is the recipient of many awards at the national level and international. She has offered policy and research consultations for numerous government agencies and departments around the globe. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a Fellow in the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor Goodman is a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
